+has the ability to see the spirit creatures that are attached to everyone for the entirety of thier lives (they're what give you those unexplainable gut feelings that are eerily accurate)

+the above fact got her into some trouble as a kid, as well as a lot of psych evals. Eventually she learned to stop to telling people about them but not before getting labeled in her small town as the weird girl who talks to nothing.
+She also came out of it all with a phobia of doctors
+Her own spirit creature, Bowen (affectionately known as Bo-Bo,) can manipulate the physical plan (aka touch things) which seems to be an unusual skill for his kind. It's the flip side of Ash's power
+Bowen looks more or less like a trail of creamsicle colored smoke with a fox like masquerade mask for a face. Verbal communication is limited to chirps and similar noises but he's excellent at charades and the inherent connection between the two means a lot of the time Ash sort of just knows what he's trying to get across in a general sense.
+Ash is sweet but kind of bad at social cues and people because everyone thought she was a weirdo growing up and as such she never really had friends.
+works as a mechanic and has the alcohol tolerance of a Norse god. It confuses everyone who meets her.
+she's a beer snob, microbrew or bust. This is more or less a sustainable mindset as she lives in the Pacific Northwest. She's less picky about liquors.
+her powers are genetic, and she gets them through her father's side of the family, but Ash is adopted and her biological father doesn't know she exists so she doesn't know that.
